Description
Anglo-Saxon copper-alloy equal-armed (also known as a caterpillar or ansate) brooch circa 7th-8th century AD. 6.08, 40mm x 90mm. The brooch has a curved bow and is decorated with incised lines. Catchplate on the reverse with lug opposite. ref: Nigel Mills-Saxon And Viking Artefacts.
