Anglo-Saxon gilded copper-alloy strip brooch circa 650-850 AD. 10.05g, 73mm. Lozenge shaped, elongated at one end to form a narrow hooked catch-plate, chip carved decoration forming four lozenge shapes made up by four angular spirals, seperated by a saltire cross through the middle. ref: R.
