Description
Medieval bronze coin-weight. Circa 15th century AD. 3.76 g, 14mm. Circular-shaped coin weight for a gold half ryal, issued by Edward IV between 1464 and 1470. The obverse depicts a single-masted sailing vessel, the king standing on deck, holding a sword and shield with the arms of England, rose below. The reverse is flat and undecorated..
